I must admit, it is very attractive. The flip side is that you have to open a brokerage account along with the high interest checking. This is perhaps the best kept secret of the deal. The customer service has been very poliet and helpful. The Schawb site gives loads of information. I am still wondering is Schawb and Citibank under the same entity.

James, TPG has made no indication they will change the current management. From all accounts they will allow Midwest to continue on the strategic path it's on.

As for the seating the announcement they would install 3X2 should give comfort travelers pause. There's a reason you only see greater space in first and business class. The economics don't work out. Already almost 50% of Midwest seating is 3X2. I won't be surprised if in a few years Midwest is mostly that way with first class seating like other airlines. But at least they'll still have the cookies.

May I add a few things...
TPG is getting an airline with one of the best names in the industry, no dept, and lots of cash in the bank.
When they add the 3x2 leather seating in the 717's by next year, Midwest will be operating with a cost as low as Southwest. They can compete with anybody.
What a great thing!
All TPG has to do is grow this little airline (something that current management has failed to do) and they have the potential to make more money than ever before in the airline industry.
Way to go TPG!

One additional consideration - Sony is still heavily-supporting the PS2. That is something that Nintendo and Microsoft did not do when they brought out the Wii and XBox 360 respectively; new games for their previous systems stopped being produced almost immediately after launch.

One more example of Sony stepping on its crank; cancelling the 20 GB version back in April, which would have been in the wheelhouse at $400 with the $100 price cut.

This won't help them ONE BIT....

Not until you see them dip into the mid $300 range will consumers even look at the PS3.....

Most are happy with the Nintendo Wii, some with the Xbox altho the Red Circle of Death has caused some to jump ship to the Wii....

Sony gambled on a high price point and LOST....sorry to say...
